Building a high-performance truck

I had planned on building highly specialized vehicles that defy the car manufactures original intention when a specific vehicle was built.  It is my opinion that many vehicles on the market today lack certain appeal to a wide range of buyers.  Who says you can't have something that is powerful, attractive and fuel-friendly?  This was my first real-world venture into this territory, so costly mistakes will be made, and you can see the progress every step of the way by checking back from time to time.  I will provide links to any and all vendors and shops that I use during the build, and tell you about my experience with them.  When the current vehicle is complete, I will post performance statistics and parts lists.  I will tell you what I liked and disliked about vendors and shops that were used in the build process.

Due to peoples general lack of a quality work ethic, this project has officially failed.  The truck build will go on, but the concept has come to a crash-and-burn halt.  It has been a long, slow, painful and costly road, and I have given up on America's work ethics.  Gone are the days when A man's word was all you needed.  Gone are the days where a contract was binding.  Gone are the days when a company would stand behind their work.  Every outsource I have used has failed to complete their part of the project, charged significantly more than agreed upon, and has stiffed me every step of the way.  From a "Professional" shop to local small town business to just someone you know that has the skills...they all failed and stuck me with a large bill and a truck that didn't run.  I have been completing the project on my own, going back and finding all the errors others have made along the way and correcting them.  Completing portions of the project others have left undone.  I am now in the process of updating the information contained here to reflect what actually occurred in the final stages.  I have deleted some items and re-written others, so please read on to find out the outcome and the opinion I have come to about the various companies and products used for this project.

Some projects are currently inactive, but I will resume work on them once the Avalanche is complete.
